After Walden Walden alumni have gone on to study at many institutions of higher education. These include Berklee College of Music, Curtis Institute, Eastman School of Music, The Julliard School, Liszt Academy, New England Conservatory, Oberlin Conservatory, Peabody Conservatory, Royal Academy of Music, Barnard, Columbia, Cornell, Harvard, Haverford, MIT, Princeton, Simon's Rock, Smith, Stanford, Swarthmore, Vassar, Washington University in St. Louis, Williams, Yale; and the Universities of Arizona, California, Chicago, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, Rochester, and Southern California. Alumni of The Walden School pursue a variety of careers and interests, although all leave Walden with a greater appreciation for the creative arts, music, and the compositional process. Walden alumni are among America's most promising young composers. Alumni often cherish their experiences at Walden School and retain a vibrant connection to the organization. Many return to work as staff members during their years in college. Others become faculty members committed to nurturing the next generation of youth, as Walden once nurtured them. Friendships formed at Walden last a lifetime.
