Going once… going twice… SOLD to the lady in
the Stockhausen sweatshirt!
Save the date for Walden’s next online auction: April 17 through
May 1. Have something to donate? Be creative – it could be anything
from three days at a condo in Hawaii to a customized birthday song.
And this year, we have an added incentive for bidders.
When you become a registered bidder, you will be entered into a raffle
to win the delivery of a dozen roses to the (U.S.) address of your choice
on Sunday, May 10, which just happens to be Mother's Day.
For more information, call Esther Landau, Walden’s
Director of Development at (415) 648-4710 or email at auction@waldenschool.org.
You can see a preview of all the available items starting
April 10 and you'll be able to pre-register at that time. Want a reminder?

Sneak Peek: A Sampling of 2009 Auction Items
Looking
for an aeolian harp to put in your window to sing in the wind? Or maybe
you’ve been wanting to hear the definitive CD of art music for the
highland bagpipe? You can’t find these items just anywhere, but
you’ll find them, along with hundreds of other world instruments
and recordings at www.larkinthemorning.com.
In this auction, we’re offering a $50 Gift Certificate
toward any purchase at Lark in the Morning, either at
the stores or online. Bidding will begin at $20.
All music is art, but only some of it is worth framing.
We are auctioning off Nick deMaison’s string quartet score
page, complete with black matting. The score is in pencil and
is a draft, complete with notes in the margin and an autograph on the
bottom. The bidding on this item will begin at $50.
Let
us take you out to dinner in San Francisco! Combine a sight-seeing trip
with the fun of visiting with Walden’s Executive Director Seth Brenzel
and other local staff and administration. We are offering a trip
for two to San Francisco which, in addition to the visit with
Seth, also includes round trip Economy Class air, 4 days/3 nights accommodations
at the Hyatt at Fisherman's Wharf, all room-related taxes, and San Francisco
City Passes (a transit passport and your choice of admission to 5 attractions
including but not limited to San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Blue
and Gold Fleet Bay Cruise Adventure, the Aquarium of the Bay, the Legion
of Honor). A value of $3,200, bidding on this item will begin at $2,000.
Hang
beauty on your wall! Our auction will feature matted art photos from Marshall
Bessières and Brad Evans, including Marshall’s gorgeous shot
of a monarch butterfly. We truly can’t put a price on these fine
works of art, but we’re starting the bidding at $40.
