Schedule
The first four weeks of Walden consist of classroom and
individual instruction, chorus, Composers Forums, recitals and concerts,
and special events provided by guests and Artists-in-Residence. The Walden
School strives to maintain a healthy balance between intensive music studies
and non-academic recreation. Therefore weekly mountain hikes, swimming
at nearby lakes, dances, open mike nights, and intra-school sports are
also a regular part of the program.
The fifth and final week of Walden is Festival Week. Over
the course of the week, students present the creative work of the summer
through concerts, forums, and demonstrations that are open to the public.
Parents and friends are encouraged to attend this special showcase week.
